Details of our meeting with Tinubu – Makinde speaks on behalf of the G5.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and the other four former governors who make up the G5 (Integrity Group) updated President Bola Tinubu on recent developments and reiterated their support for justice, equity, and fairness in Nigeria during a meeting that was conducted at the State House.

In spite of the difficulties in constructing a nation, Governor Makinde emphasized the necessity of ongoing assessment. He also stated that the G5 will continue to meet with the President on a regular basis to plan the future of the nation.

“Nation building is a very difficult task,” Governor Makinde said during a press conference after the meeting. You must continually assess your actions and direction even when you are aware of both. As a result, we must maintain meeting with the President to inform him of the situation. The Integrity Group, or the G-5, arrived to inform the President of our principles of justice, equity, and fairness.

In the last week, Governor Makinde has visited the President three times with other G5 members, showing their dedication to tackling important national concerns.

Former governors from the G5 group, including Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Samuel Ortom (Benue), and Nyesom Wike (Rivers), were notable guests at the summit. Peter Mbah, the current governor of Enugu State, was also in attendance.

The G5, a group of unhappy Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, expressed their disagreement to Atiku Abubakar’s victory in the most recent elections and supported the return of power to Southern Nigeria.
