Tinubu renews Isegbe’s tenure as NAQS boss

President Bola Tinubu has reappointed Dr. Vincent Isegbe as the Director-General of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) for another five-year term. Isegbe, who has been leading the agency since 2019, will continue to oversee the regulation of agricultural exports and imports in the country.

The president commended Isegbe for his achievements in the past five years, especially the improvement of the service’s efficiency and transparency, which earned it a high ranking by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC). He also urged him to build on the service’s recent performance and ensure the safety and quality of Nigeria’s agricultural products.

Isegbe expressed his gratitude to the president for the confidence and trust reposed in him, and pledged to work hard to justify his reappointment. He also thanked the staff and stakeholders of the service for their support and cooperation.
