Tinubu commissions Africa’s largest tomato factory in Kebbi

President Bola Tinubu has commissioned GB Foods Tomato Processing Company in Gafara village of Ngaski Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The company, which is the largest of its kind in Africa, processes 2,400 metric tonnes of tomato per day.

The president, who was represented by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, praised the company for its huge investment in the country. He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for private investors to invest in the agricultural sector.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, also commended the company for its resilience and focus. He said the project was a good example of the confidence that foreign investors have in Nigeria under Tinubu’s leadership.

The Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, thanked Spain for the investment and assured the company of the state’s support and cooperation.
