Increasing Sales As A Vendor By Improving The Quality Of Your Product Image On MIN

In continuation from our last post. When it comes to successfully selling products online, one area that often doesn’t receive as much attention as it should is product image. As we all know, people shop with their eyes, and on a platform like Made in Nigeria, your product images can make or break your sales.

1. **Invest in High-Quality Images**: You don’t necessarily need the latest DSLR or mirrorless camera for this, even many smartphones nowadays have fantastic cameras. What’s important is clarity, good lighting, and attention to detail. If the budget allows, consider hiring a professional product photographer.

2. **Showcase Multiple Angles**: Online shoppers can’t pick up or feel the product, so give them the next best thing. Show them what the product looks like from the front, back, top, side, and even inside if applicable.

3. **Use a Clean Background**: This helps to focus the attention on the product. A white or light neutral background often works best, although depending on the product, a relevant context can add depth to the picture (e.g., a coffee mug near a laptop).

4. **Highlight Important Features**: If your product has specific features worth showing off, make sure to highlight them. For instance, if you’re selling bags with multiple compartments, an image showing the interior of the bag can be beneficial.

5. **Include a Reference for Size**: Sometimes, it’s hard for shoppers to gauge the size of a product from a picture. By placing a common object like a coin or a pen next to your product, you can provide a reference for scale.

6. **Show the Product in Use**: This helps the customer visualize how they would use the product in their life. If you’re selling clothing, for example, consider using models of different sizes and shapes.

Remember, the goal is to provide a clear, realistic image of what you’re selling. In many cases, the product image is the first thing a potential customer sees, and you know what they say about first impressions – they’re everything.

Quality product images not only attract shoppers to your listings but also provide the confidence they need to click that “Buy Now” button. So, go on and give your product photos the attention they deserve.

Wishing you increased sales and growth on the Made in Nigeria platform.
