Osodeke re-elected as ASUU National President

Professor Emmanuel Osodeke was unanimously re-elected by Academic Staff Union of Universities members to serve as the union’s national president for an additional two years.

The union’s members also chose Chris Piwuna, a consultant psychiatrist and an associate professor at the University of Jos’ College of Medicine, to serve as vice president once more.
On May 19–21, 2023, the University of Jos in Plateau State hosted the 22nd National Delegates Conference of ASUU, where they were re-elected.
Other ASUU National Officers were also re-elected at the conference, including the Treasurer, Prof. Siji Sowande, the Financial Secretary, Dr. Austen Sado, the Investment Secretary, Dr. Adamu Babayo, the Internal Auditor, and the Welfare Secretary, Dr. Aisha Bawa, who took Dr. Stella-Maris Okey’s place.
