How to Return a Product on Made In Nigeria

At Made In Nigeria, we want every shopper to be completely satisfied with their purchase. However, if a product doesn’t meet your expectations, arrives damaged, or isn’t what you ordered, you can easily return it for a replacement or refund. This guide explains how to initiate, process, and complete a return through your account.

🧾 1. When You Can Return a Product

You can request a return if:

  • The item you received is defective or damaged.

  • You received the wrong product, size, or color.

  • The product is not as described on the website.

  • You want to exchange the item for another (depending on vendor policy).

Note: Returns must be initiated within 7 to 14 days of delivery, depending on the vendor’s return policy. Some items — such as personal care products, digital downloads, or food items — may not be eligible for return for safety or hygiene reasons.


🧭 2. How to Start a Return Request

Step 1: Log in to Your Account

Go to madeinnigeria.com and log in using your email and password.

Step 2: Navigate to “Orders”

  • Click on “My Account” in the top menu.

  • From the dashboard, select “Orders” to view your purchase history.

Step 3: Select the Order to Return

  • Locate the order that includes the item you want to return.

  • Click “View” to open order details.

Step 4: Click “Request Return”

  • You’ll find a “Request Return” or “Return Item” button next to eligible products.

  • Fill out the Return Form, including:

    • Reason for return (e.g., wrong item, damaged item, etc.)

    • Description of the issue

    • Optional: upload clear photos or videos showing the issue

Step 5: Submit Your Request

Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email and a Return Request ID.
The vendor will be notified and will review your request within 24–72 hours.


🚚 3. Returning the Product

After your return is approved:

  • You’ll receive pickup instructions or a return address via email.

  • Pack the product securely in its original packaging, including tags, accessories, and invoice if possible.

  • Our logistics partner will contact you to arrange pickup or drop-off.

⚠️ Important:

  • Do not send back an item without approval — it may not be processed or refunded.

  • Shipping fees for returns may be covered by the vendor or deducted from your refund, depending on the reason for return.


💸 4. After We Receive Your Returned Item

Once your item is received and inspected:

  • You’ll be notified via email.

  • If approved, your refund or replacement will be processed within 5–10 business days.

  • Refunds are typically sent to your original payment method or Made In Nigeria Wallet.


❌ 5. Items That Cannot Be Returned

For safety and quality reasons, the following items are non-returnable:

  • Intimate or personal care products (e.g., underwear, cosmetics, etc.)

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food, beverages)

  • Customized or personalized items

  • Digital downloads or software products
