The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to President Bola Tinubu, demanding the immediate release of all #EndBadGovernance protesters, including 32 malnourished minors. SERAP’s Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, emphasized that the detained individuals are being held solely for exercising their human rights.
The organization has urged Tinubu to direct the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, to ensure their unconditional release. SERAP warned that failure to comply would result in legal action. The group highlighted that detaining children infringes on their right to education and is not in their best interests.
