President Bola Tinubu has sent the list of ministerial nominees to some security agencies, including the EFCC and the DSS, for clearance.
The list is expected to be submitted to the Senate for confirmation within 60 days of his inauguration on May 29. The President’s renewed hope agenda depends on the appointment of competent and patriotic ministers who will represent Nigeria and not their states.
Some lawmakers and Nigerians are anxious about the delay in the list, while others are hopeful that it will be released soon.
The security agencies and the Presidential Strategic Team are running final checks on the possible ministers.
